All applicants interested in serving with Ascent 121 are required to agree to the following items before being considered for an internship. • An intern will be expected to work a minimum 10-15 hours a week with a specific start and end date discussed and agreed upon at acceptance. These hours will include both office hours under regular staff supervision, as well as the potential for occasional weekend and evening hours to support community awareness events.
• Every intern must provide their own transportation.
• As Ascent 121 is a faith-based agency, any intern must agree to respect the policies and practices of the agency during their internship. However, no intern is required to participate in these agency activities or have a religious affiliation at the time of the internship.
• A complete application, two adult references, and an in-person interview with Ascent 121 staff are required to be considered for an intern position.
• A background check will be conducted on each applicant, including the national sex offender database, before acceptance as an intern.
• A basic working knowledge of the following software/platforms is helpful to be successful in this role as an intern: Outlook, Excel, Canva, WordPress, Mailchimp, Social Media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter), Salesforce

• CANCELLATION OF INTERNSHIP: The agency reserves the right to cancel an internship for any reason. However, if an intern has signed up to participate in an event or represent the agency, 24-hour notice is required in writing (text, email) of a cancellation. If the intern is unable to participate in regularly scheduled office hours, it is required that two hours notice be provided to the Internship Manager. After two no advance cancellations/no shows, the internship will be terminated. Also, if the intern is found to be engaging in any form of illegal activity or behavior while serving with Ascent 121, the internship will be terminated.
