Therapeutic Needs
Sponsor a Survivor for a Year
A full year of therapy gives a teen the consistent, specialized support they need to begin healing from deep emotional and physical trauma. It provides a safe space to rebuild trust, process their experiences, and develop healthy coping skills. This stability can be life-changing, helping them move toward a future defined by hope rather than hurt.
$12,000
Sponsor a Survivor for a Month
Therapy and mentoring give survivors the real experience of being heard, valued, and supported. They can begin to build trust, gain tools for emotional resilience, and see a path forward they didn’t know existed.
Our specialized care can spark a lasting shift in their sense of worth and possibility.
$1,000
Financial Literacy
A financial literacy course gives survivors the tools to manage money wisely, often for the first time in their lives. It equips them to budget, save, and avoid common financial pitfalls that can lead to instability.
With this knowledge, they gain confidence and a stronger foundation to achieve the goals they have set for themselves.
$1,500
Cooking Class
Learning to cook empowers teens with essential life skills that build confidence and independence. It helps them make healthier food choices, stretch a limited budget, and prepare for independent living.
Cooking also offers a sense of control and creativity, which can be especially healing for youth who’ve experienced instability.
$250
Medical Records
When donors cover the cost of electronic medical records and laptops, it allows our staff to spend less time on paperwork and more time directly supporting the kids in our care. These tools improve accuracy, confidentiality, and coordination of care, which leads to better outcomes for clients. Donor support for technology also frees up our limited budget for critical programs and services. $8,000
Support Group
Therapeutic support groups offer survivors a powerful sense of connection and understanding when they’re surrounded by peers with shared life experiences. In this safe and affirming environment, they realize they’re not alone—and that others truly “get it.” This shared healing journey can reduce isolation and foster lasting emotional growth.
$750
Group Zoo Outings
Group outings to the zoo give survivors a chance to practice skills like cooperation, communication, and empathy in a low-pressure, engaging environment. Shared experiences with peers and caring adults help build trust and strengthen their ability to form healthy relationships. These moments of connection and joy can gently reshape how they see themselves and others.
$300
Equine Therapy
Equine therapy helps survivors build confidence and emotional awareness through safe, nonverbal interaction with horses. The calm, responsive nature of the animals provides a healing environment where individuals can process difficult emotions without judgment. Over time, this unique bond can support trauma recovery by fostering resilience, self-regulation, and a renewed sense of connection.

Supplies & Celebrations
Therapy Workbooks
Our clinicians use a variety of resources to help kids process their trauma. Workbooks provide a place to safely explore and express emotions that may be difficult to say out loud. Structured prompts guide them through reflection and healing, helping kids make sense of their experiences at their own pace.
This process fosters emotional clarity, self-awareness, and a greater sense of control over their own recovery journey.
$500
Art Therapy Supplies
Engaging in creative art allows survivors to express emotions and experiences that can be difficult to put into words.
Over time, art can build confidence, a sense of accomplishment, and a renewed connection to oneself and the world. We use endless quantities of art supplies: paints, brushes, paper, canvases, easels, brushes, colored pencils, glue, beads, glitter, stickers, cleaning supplies and more.
$200
Sensory Supplies
Our sensory room is the most popular space in our Center. Sensory therapies reconnect survivors with their bodies in a safe and grounding way, reducing feelings of anxiety and hyperarousal. Engaging the senses of touch, sound, taste, sight and smell can soothe the nervous system and promote relaxation. Regular sensory experiences also support emotional regulation, body awareness, and a greater sense of safety and control.
$150
Devos & Bibles
Exploring a survivor's faith journey can provide a sense of meaning, hope, and connection beyond their immediate experiences. Reflecting on beliefs and spiritual values can offer comfort, guidance, and a framework for understanding and processing difficult emotions. Clients can choose to attend chapel and participate in weekly bible studies. Your gift provides age appropriate, relevant study bibles, journals and devotionals.
$150
Emergency Shower Kit
While we are not first responders, from time to time we have kids arrive at our Therapeutic Recovery Center straight from an emergent situation. Shower kits provide toiletries, towel, wash cloth, hairbrush, deodorant, hoodie, pants, and socks.
Often times once they feel refreshed, the kids will head to one of our comfy quiet spaces, have a meal and rest for a while before doing anything else. Our trauma-informed Center is designed with the kids' choice, control and safety in mind.
$100
Christmas Backpack
So much of their time with us is spent in clinical conversations. At the holidays we love to provide something that is just fun for the kids to enjoy and explore activities along with a few clothing items they need.
A brand new backpack holds goodies like a book, a journal and colored pens, a craft activity kit, a board game, a hoodie, a hat and gloves, socks, and some fun holiday hard candies.
$90
Graduation Tote
Many of the kids in our care are not doing age appropriate school work. Because of their experiences, they often have been in and out of school for extended periods of time. Even if they are attending school, their home life may not be conducive to educational success.
In addition to their therapeutic care, many clients spend time focused on recovering school credits so they can catch up to grade level. We are thrilled to celebrate when they achieve high school graduation or GED. Our graduation tote includes a VISA gift card, 'Oh, the Places You'll Go', and a grad bear.

Staff Christmas Party
‘Twas the night of the party, and all through the place,
The staff had all gathered with joy on each face.
The table was set with a holiday spread,
With laughter and stories and cookies and bread.
We dined on warm dishes, both savory and sweet,
Then played silly games that got us on our feet.
The prizes were small, but the smiles were wide,
And good-natured laughter rang out far and wide.
The Megans gave toasts to a hardworking year,
With glasses all clinking and hearts full of cheer.
We cheered for each other and all we had done,
Then danced to the music and soaked in the fun.

Staff Holiday Gift Bag
🎵 In the glow of the season, with laughter and cheer,
We gather together at the close of the year.
A ribbon, a token, a message so clear—
These gifts say “You matter, we’re grateful you’re here.”
🎵 Through long days and meetings, we give all we can,
Each doing our part in the team’s bigger plan.
So when there’s a gift with our name on a tag,
It feels like a warm hug, a note not to lag.
🎵 It’s not just the present, but thought tucked inside,
A symbol of thanks we wear with quiet pride.
For kindness and care are the best gifts of all—
They lift up our hearts and strengthen us all.
